Ex Plasterboard Recycling Mill

The Van Gelder Duplex Hammermill produces an exceptionally fine product because of the unique grinding action of the twin rotor machine. Feed material entering the machine is struck by the hammers of the first rotor and carried around the top of the first chamber where it is subject to repeated impacts between the hammers and the specially corrugated wear plates. The material then enters a zone of intense grinding between the two rotors where it is struck by the hammers of the second rotor travelling in the opposite direction to the first rotor, effectively doubling the tip speed of the hammers.
