AERZEN Positive Displacement Blowers (of the "Roots" type design) have been manufactured since 1868 and today are highly developed standard production machines designed and adapted to find use in a wide variety of applications. 

Three-lobe rotary pistons. Pulsation reduction by interference.
The conveying chamber (cylinder) is sealed by the oil chambers (housing cover and gear case) by piston ring - labyrinth sealings, the driving shaft by a radial seal.
In case the oil level is too high, oil can penetrate into the conveying chamber in an uncontrolled way.
During compression, heat is created which is partly dissipated to the ambient air via the external surfaces of blower and conveying pipes.
